The 1:100 French trailer for fuel and lubricants (early) is a small kit of a rear-area vehicle of the French army from the manufacturer Zebranomodel.
Responsibility details are not available.
The kit captures a French army trailer intended to carry fuel and lubricants, in the early version. It is a rear-area, supply item, not a combat vehicle. In 1:100 the model is very small and is built as an accessory for columns, dioramas and gaming groups. The particular contents of the package and the number of parts are stated on the packaging of the kit.
Supplying fuel was one of the basic tasks of the rear services of motorized and armored units. Trailers towed by trucks or tractors made it possible to bring fuel and oils closer to the units and to replenish them away from permanent bases. In the 1930s the French army used several types of such trailers, which were modified over time, so early and later forms were both in use. The early and the late form are made as two separate kits.
The parts in this scale are small, so cut them off with a sharp scalpel and clean them up with a fine sanding sponge. Glue with thin cement for plastic applied on the tip of a brush. Apply a thin primer before painting and spray the paint with an airbrush in light coats. The trailer looks best in a group with a tractor and with other elements of a column. Keep the weathering restrained; dusty deposits around the wheels and discreet edge highlighting suit it, while heavy washes would overload a small object.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
