Responsibility details are not available.
A resin kit of the early Soviet Su-76 self-propelled gun in 1:100 scale, suitable for wargames in 15 mm size and for a collection of armored vehicles. The resin castings will be appreciated by more experienced modelers, and the build is quick thanks to the small number of sub-assemblies.
The Su-76 self-propelled gun came about at the turn of 1942 and 1943 by combining the proven 76.2 mm ZIS-3 divisional gun with a lengthened chassis derived from light tanks. The factory designation SU-12 belongs to the early production version, whose pair of engines was mounted in parallel side by side - an arrangement that proved troublesome in service and led to the reworked SU-76M variant. The vehicle served above all for direct fire support of the infantry and became the basis of one of the most numerous families of Soviet self-propelled guns of the Second World War.
Wash the resin parts to remove any mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); do the sanding with respiratory protection. A fine patina comes out well on a self-propelled gun - after the green coat, try a wash in the recesses, dust pigments on the suspension and dust on the lower parts of the hull, which bring the machine beautifully to life in a small scale.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
