Injection-molded plastic kit of the Sikorsky CH-53G in 1:144 scale from Revell: the heavy transport helicopter in a format that takes little room and is rewarding to collect.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the heavy transport helicopter Sikorsky CH-53G in 1:144 scale from the German company Revell. The box holds parts in gray plastic, a clear sprue for the cabin glazing and a decal sheet. The small scale makes the model both a quick build and a rewarding piece for a display case or a shelf.
The CH-53 is a twin-engine heavy transport helicopter with a mighty six-blade main rotor, developed in the United States. The CH-53G version was built under license for the German Bundeswehr, where it is used to carry troops, supplies and slung loads as well as for rescue and evacuation duties. The machine is marked by its roomy fuselage with a rear that folds down and a loading ramp.
First assemble and adjust the rotor head with the main rotor and the separate tail rotor; glue the small parts with liquid cement for plastic applied drop by drop so that it does not run onto visible surfaces. Fit the cabin glazing only after spraying and mask the edges for clean frames. The modest interior and the landing gear come alive with blackening and light dry brushing. A primer base and spraying with an airbrush are recommended, and with military camouflage work from the light tones to the dark ones.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
