A resin set of lifting eyes in the late form for the PzKpfw IV, 1:16 scale — small accessories for the hull and the turret, not a kit of the vehicle.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of small resin castings with which the lifting eyes welded to the hull and the turret are replaced on a large model. It is not a kit and not a conversion set, but a detail that gives away the standard of work on a finished model.
Lifting eyes serve for handling the vehicle and heavy parts with a crane, so they are real pieces of steel welded onto the hull and the turret — and they have a through hole underneath for a hook or a rope. The late form differs from the earlier one in shape. That hole is the heart of the matter: on a plastic kit the eye tends to be molded in one piece with the hull, solid, with only a suggested notch, because the mold cannot get behind the bow. In 1:16 scale an eye is the size of a fingernail and the missing hole underneath it is visible from a meter away. A resin casting is cast separately, so it can have the bow genuinely open.
The castings are small — work over a tray with raised edges so that they do not disappear. First wash them in warm water with detergent, then cut them off the casting frame with a new blade; never snap them. Carefully cut the original plastic eyes off and sand the area smooth. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue; the gel version gives a few seconds to line them up in one plane — and in 1:16 a different angle on two neighboring eyes really does show.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
