The Toyota Starlet of the EP71 generation is a small hatchback of the second half of the 1980s with front-wheel drive. The Turbo S version added a turbocharged gasoline engine to the light body, which turned an economical little car into a brisk machine of the kind most Japanese brands had in their lineup at the time. The subject here is the three-door configuration in its early 1986 form, that is, before the car went through the later changes to its appearance.
This is a kit of an automobile in 1:24 scale from the company Hasegawa. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. For the build, have the usual modeling tools ready, that is, nippers, a sharp blade, tweezers and sandpaper. The range of parts, the content of the decals and the finish options on offer are stated by the manufacturer; follow the data on the packaging and in the instructions.
On a car model the body decides the result. Before you start painting it, smooth the surface carefully, because every scratch is emphasized under glossy paint. Apply the paint in thin coats and bring out the gloss only with the final clear coat. Mask the glazing before spraying, not after it has dried. Assemble and paint the interior and the chassis before you close the body up. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts given in the instructions, because plastic cement has no effect on parts that are not polystyrene.
The package contains a kit, which is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue, clear coats and thinner are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
