A set of Rotiform MLW wheels 16 inches in diameter in 1:24 scale from ZoomOn. A separate accessory for a car model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
An add-on wheel set in 1:24 scale with the Rotiform MLW rim design in the version matching the 16-inch size. The product does not hold a model of a car — it is intended as a swap for the wheels supplied with a kit. The larger rim diameter compared with the 15-inch variant changes the ratio of rim to tire sidewall, so the car looks lower in profile and more modern.
On a car model the wheel is one of the first details a viewer notices. The production parts from a kit tend to be simplified in shape and the edges of the spokes cannot carry a sharp highlight. Replacement wheels have finer drawing, a more accurate center hub and a cleaner rim outline, which shows above all once a metallic shade has been sprayed. The choice of diameter is also a modeling decision — the 16-inch version fills the wheel arch more markedly than a smaller wheel and suits cars with a lowered suspension better.
Before any work, wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry. Cut any remains of the sprue gates off with a sharp knife at a distance and level the surface with fine abrasive paper; use respiratory protection while sanding. If you are going to glue the parts, super glue (cyanoacrylate) holds best on non-absorbent materials, applied in the smallest possible amount — excess creates a white bloom. Paint over a primer, otherwise neither metallic paint nor chrome will hold. The center of the wheel and the rim often call for a different shade; handle the boundary with masking tape cut into narrow strips and spray from the lighter shade to the darker. Fit the wheels only once the body is finished, so that they are not scratched.
It is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The model of the car, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
