A set of fine photo-etched metal parts from the Polish maker Aber in 1:24 scale, intended for a plastic model of the Toyota GT 86 sports coupe. It is not a kit of the car but an accessory that replaces the thick plastic details with thin, accurately etched brass sheet. It typically covers the grilles and radiator meshes, interior details and small badges and trim strips.
The Toyota GT 86 (GT86 in Europe, 86 elsewhere) is a rear-wheel-drive car with a boxer engine, created in a collaboration between Toyota and Subaru. It is popular for its light rear end and the classic rear-wheel-drive layout, which makes it a rewarding subject for collectors of car models.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend them along the score lines. The radiator grilles look best backed with black from the inside. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue, and degrease and prime the metal parts before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model of the car, glue and paints are not included in the package.
