1:32 AGM-65 Maverick is a resin add-on set from Eduard with replicas of the tactical air-to-ground guided missile for models of combat aircraft. It is not an aircraft kit, but external stores for one.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin add-on set with replicas of the AGM-65 Maverick guided missile for large models of tactical aircraft in 1:32 scale. The castings have crisply rendered shapes of the missile body, the fins and the control surfaces, that is details that usually cannot be produced in injection-molded plastic. The set serves to complete or replace the stores from the box — on its own it is not an aircraft model. Check the actual contents of the package and their extent against the illustration on the packaging.
The AGM-65 Maverick is an American tactical air-to-ground guided missile brought into service in the 1970s. It came in several versions differing in the method of guidance and in the warhead; guidance was implemented by television, by infrared imaging and by laser. The missile is meant to destroy point ground targets from shorter ranges and was integrated on a wide range of tactical and attack aircraft. The outward mark of the versions is the differently executed seeker heads and their covers.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with dish soap and cut the casting blocks off with a saw; sand the cut flat so that the missile seats squarely on the pylon. It is glued with super glue. It is practical to paint the stores separately from the model and to glue them on only once the surface is finished and clear-coated — otherwise the masking is laborious. Work from a primer through the base shade to thin coats; apply small lettering and stripes only over a gloss surface. Choose the finish and markings according to the documentation for the aircraft you are building, not according to a general template.
This is an add-on resin set, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
