The photo-etched set DH.9a Liberty V.12 Engine in 1:32 scale from HGW brings brass parts for a faithful rendering of the American twelve-cylinder Liberty engine.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is NOT an airplane model but a brass photo-etched set in 1:32 scale aimed at the engine. It holds fine metal parts for a detailed rendering of the American twelve-cylinder Liberty V.12 engine that powered the British bomber DH.9a. Photo-etch adds the fine elements of the power unit, such as the lines, the brackets and the fittings, that cannot be cast faithfully in plastic.
The Liberty L-12 was an American water-cooled twelve-cylinder engine in a V layout of around four hundred horsepower. It arose during the First World War as a standardized power unit and it became the heart of the DH.9a bomber. Its power gave the aircraft the range and the load it needed.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and make the fine bends over the scored lines. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. The engine comes out well when painted in metallic shades and the detail is then brought out with a wash.
This is an accessory for raising the level of detail of a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
