This resin set from the Aerobonus figure range of the Aires brand holds two figures, a pilot and a rear weapon systems officer of a US Navy squadron, together with the matching ejection seats in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane model but an accessory that fills the two-seat cabin of the F-14A/B Tomcat fighter with a faithful crew of two.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was a twin-engine supersonic carrier-based fighter with a variable-geometry wing, for long years the backbone of the fighter defense of the US Navy. The crew was made up of a pilot and, in the back, the officer who worked the radar and the weapons; both are rendered here in period g-suits and flight gear.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with your airways protected. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer and paint with acrylics; the harness, hoses and gear come out well after being picked out with a wash and dry brushing.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the aircraft model are not included in the package.
