The 28-inch CRT television 1:35 from Eureka XXL is a diorama accessory, that is a large receiver for an interior scene, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The accessory represents a large television with a cathode ray tube, that is the type of receiver with a massive cabinet and considerable depth that was regarded as above-standard equipment at the end of the era of classic tubes. A 28-inch diagonal is noticeably bigger than on an ordinary domestic set, so even in 1:35 scale it remains a prominent volume around which a whole composition can be built. It is not a model of a vehicle but furnishing for a scene.
A large receiver suits spaces where people watched together: common rooms, clubrooms, waiting rooms, electronics shops, hotel lobbies or ambitious domestic interiors. Size is precisely the main difference from the smaller types, and in a diorama it can be used as a guide to scale, because the viewer judges the size of a television intuitively and reads the size of the figures and furniture around it accordingly.
After removing the sprue gates, check that the cabinet is not warped and that it sits on the base across its whole surface. Wash the resin castings in lukewarm soapy water, otherwise the paint holds poorly, and glue them with super glue. On a large cabinet the difference between materials stands out, so separate the matte plastic cabinet, the satin bezel and the glossy screen. The extensive glossy glass is prone to dust, so apply the clear coat right at the very end. Add fine dust on the top edge of the cabinet and light wear on the corners; a large television used to be a piece of furniture that people often knocked against.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
