A detail set of turned artillery ammunition in 1:35 scale. It contains scaled-down rounds of 8.8 cm caliber for the Kw.K.36 tank gun (L/56 barrel) and usually also the parts of an ammunition crate. It is a precise accessory for a vehicle interior or a diorama, not a stand-alone vehicle kit.
The Gr.Patr.39 Hl is a fixed round with a shaped-charge shell (Hohlladung, meaning hollow charge). Its penetrating power depended on the charge in the hollow cone, not on the striking velocity, so it was effective even at longer range or with a lower muzzle velocity. It served as supplementary anti-tank ammunition for the 8.8 cm Kw.K.36 (L/56) gun, which was carried by the Tiger (Ausf.E) heavy tank.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts and clean up the casting remains. Glue the metal projectiles and cases with cyanoacrylate. Paint the cases in a brass shade and the projectile according to period markings (shaped-charge ammunition tended to have different color bands). Fine washes and pigments will give realistic weathering. Protect your airways while sanding.
