TPz-1 Fuchs EloKa Hummel — a photo-etched detail set in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Hauler for a model of the Bundeswehr armored personnel carrier in its electronic warfare version.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set from the Czech maker Hauler, intended for a particular Revell kit. The fine metal etch replaces and adds to the simplified plastic details of the Fuchs carrier — and it is precisely on the specialized electronic warfare version that the small things on the surface decide the fidelity of the finished model.
The TPz-1 Fuchs is a six-wheeled armored personnel carrier of the Bundeswehr introduced in the 1970s and built in a whole range of purpose-built versions. The EloKa Hummel variant, meaning bumblebee, serves for electronic warfare - locating and jamming the enemy's communications. It differs from the ordinary carrier above all in its antenna equipment and in the absence of a troop compartment for infantry.
Separate the parts from the fret with a scalpel on a hard surface and clean the edges up gently. Use tweezers with smooth jaws or a bender for bending, and glue with small amounts of super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal parts and prime them before painting. Fine mesh and handles come out well after a dark wash in the recesses.
This is a detail accessory, not a model of the vehicle in its own right. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
