The plastic kit ICM BM-13-16 Katyusha rocket launcher on the W.O.T.8 chassis in 1:35 scale - including figures of the Soviet crew.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet BM-13-16 Katyusha rocket launcher on the British Fordson W.O.T.8 chassis in 1:35 scale from the maker ICM. Besides the vehicle, the package contains figures of the Soviet crew and photo-etched parts. It is built as an unassembled kit.
The BM-13 was the most widespread Soviet multiple rocket launcher of the Second World War, nicknamed Katyusha. The BM-13-16 launcher carried sixteen guide rails for rockets of 132 mm caliber and was mounted on various chassis. A number of them arose on trucks delivered to the USSR under the Lend-Lease program - among them the British Fordson W.O.T.8 with all-wheel drive (4x4). The salvo fire of the rocket launchers had a strong destructive and psychological effect.
First assemble and paint the chassis and the running gear, and only then close up the cab; the launcher rack with the rails and the rockets is the showpiece element, so give it care. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). For the weathering use washes and pigments for the dust and mud of field roads; the figures will liven up the whole scene.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
