Decals in 1:35 with German bar crosses for ground vehicles, six size steps on one sheet.
Responsibility details are not available.
German ground vehicles of the Second World War carried a simple white bar cross, which served mainly to recognize one's own vehicles from the air and from the ground. Its size was nowhere strictly laid down and varied according to the type of vehicle, according to the workshop that marked it, and according to whether the crew was trying to stay inconspicuous. That is exactly why builders find a sheet useful from which they can choose the size matching their particular subject and need not make do with the single one that came with the kit.
Six steps are given, from the smallest to the largest. The figures are carried in millimeters and graded so as to cover the range from small markings on fenders to a large cross on the side of a hull. One sheet will therefore serve several different models, because you rarely need more than a couple of pieces of any one size. The smaller steps also suit transport crates, trailers and small equipment, where the markings tend to be inconspicuous.
A vehicle model is rough against an aircraft: rivets, grab handles, welded seams and the coarse texture of a casting. A decal will not carry over such obstacles without help. It works to smooth the spot first with a gloss coat, to lay the decal on a drop of softener and to let it soften without poking at it. Only then can it be pressed carefully into the relief with a brush. Once dry, the surface is given a matte coat and the cross settles into the finish. In the package are the decals alone; the vehicle and the paints do not go with them.
