The figure German SS Grenadier - Europe 1944-45 in 1:35 scale comes from the Polish brand Mantis Miniatures. It is a resin casting intended to be assembled and painted, depicting a German grenadier on the European battlefield in the closing stage of the Second World War. The subject is treated purely historically, as a study and modeling subject.
The figure represents an infantry soldier in the uniform and with the gear of the period of 1944-45, when the fighting moved to the western as well as the eastern borders of Germany. The execution concentrates on a faithful rendering of the cut of the uniform, the gear and the armament of that period, with no evaluative or ideological undertone whatsoever.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut the casting blocks away and glue them with cyanoacrylate; wear respiratory protection when sanding. Build the uniform up in layers; washes will emphasize the folds and dry brushes the edges; paint the camouflage patterns patiently, step by step.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
