The German Sturmpioniere plastic figure set in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Zvezda: six German assault engineers of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of six figures of German assault engineers (Sturmpioniere) of the Second World War in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Zvezda. The injection-molded plastic figures are meant to be assembled, fitted with their gear and painted. Generous separately molded weapons and equipment are included: Kar 98k rifles, an MP 40 submachine gun, barbed-wire cutters, engineer demolition charges and a flamethrower.
The Sturmpioniere were assault engineer units of the German army that specialized in breaking through fortifications, clearing obstacles and destroying bunkers. Besides ordinary infantry weapons they used demolition charges, flamethrowers and wire cutters. They were committed at the head of an attack, where they opened the way for the rest of the infantry and for armor; their equipment matches the fighting of 1940 to 1943.
Assemble the figures from their individual parts, then sand and fill the mating seams. Apply a primer before painting. Skin and uniforms can be painted with a brush or an airbrush; bring out the recesses with a dark wash and highlight the edges with a dry brush. The separately molded weapons make it easy to work the figures into a diorama.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
