This photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:35 scale raises the level of detail of a model of the German Jagdpanther Ausf. G2 tank destroyer. It adds fine metal parts such as the engine deck grilles, brackets, tool holders and other hull elements that a plastic kit manages only in a simplified way. It is not a standalone model but an upgrade accessory.
The Jagdpanther was a German tank destroyer of the Second World War built on the chassis of the Panther tank and armed with a long 88 mm anti-tank gun. The Ausf. G2 version belonged to the later production standard, with workshop changes to the hull.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and make the bends along the grooves with a bending tool. Glue the grilles and brackets with cyanoacrylate glue. Add the details of the engine deck before closing up the hull. Once painted, bring out the edges with a dry brush and the service wear with a wash and pigments.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit. The base model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
