A detailed injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian wheeled armored vehicle KAMAZ K-4386 Typhoon-VDV armed with the 30 mm 2A42 cannon in a remotely operated weapon station, in 1:35 scale from RPG Model. In the box you will find plastic sprues, etched brass sheet, turned metal barrel parts, decals and painting masks. It is a modern kit with solid detail.
The K-4386 Typhoon-VDV is a lightened wheeled armored vehicle with resistance to mines and improvised devices (the MRAP class), developed for the Russian Airborne Troops (VDV). The emphasis with it is on air transportability, on protecting the crew against a blast under the hull and on modular installation of armament. The version with the 30 mm 2A42 automatic cannon in an operated turret gives a light airborne vehicle firepower against lightly armored targets and infantry alike.
Assemble the chassis and the lower hull first, then the body and the weapon station. Fit the turned metal barrel after varnishing. Glue the plastic with thin cement and the etch and metal parts with cyanoacrylate. Use a primer and an airbrush; apply the modern Russian camouflage with the help of the enclosed masks. Finish the weathering with a dark wash into the recesses, dry brushing on the edges and dust pigments on the wheels and the lower hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
