A Decalcas marking set in 1:24 scale for a model of the Porsche 935 K3 in the colors of the Dick Barbour Racing team. The decals are applied onto a finished painted body and replace or supplement what is enclosed with a kit.
The K3 version was built by the Cologne team Kremer Racing out of the Group 5 Porsche 935 – a force-fed car derived from the 911 type, which under its composite body with the extended rear end hid only little of the production basis. The Kremer cars belonged among the fastest machines of endurance racing at the end of the 1970s and a whole range of customer teams raced them. Dick Barbour Racing was an American private team that fielded the 935 in endurance events in the United States and in Europe alike.
The sponsor markings of racing Porsches are made up of many elements that overlap one another. Let every layer dry properly before you lay down the next one, and at the end go over the finished body with a final varnish – it hides the edges of the film and turns a sticker into sprayed lettering. Apply the varnish in several thin layers.
