Workable metal tracks Friulmodel 1:35 M26 Pershing / M46 Patton (T80E1 type), cast white metal that will replace the plastic tracks from a kit and give the model faithful weight and sag.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of workable tracks from Friulmodel in 1:35 scale for the American M26 Pershing and M46 Patton tanks, in the T80E1 track variant. The tracks are cast in white metal and are made up of individual links, which are joined by thin wire passing through the pin holes. The resulting track stays workable, faithfully follows the sag over the road wheels and by its weight gives the model a realism that plastic or rubber tracks from a kit cannot offer. It is not a kit of a vehicle but a detail replacement of the tracks.
The M26 Pershing was an American heavy, later medium tank of the end of the Second World War, out of which came the postwar M46 Patton committed in the Korean War. Both machines share related running gear and could use the T80E1 type of track that this set is aimed at.
Clean the links of any flash, assemble them on the wires and shorten the excess wire with cutters. The joints can be secured with a drop of cyanoacrylate. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a base color suitable for metal; metal tracks hold a patina, washes and pigments for mud and dust effects excellently.
The set serves as an accessory to a plastic model of the matching vehicle; the model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
