The package contains ten small resin plugs intended for further detailing of the American M48 and M60 series tanks in 1:35 scale. It is not a vehicle kit but an accessory with which a small detail on a plastic model is replaced or supplemented. The brand ELEFANT lists these plugs in two versions; this is version 2.
Cast resin holds a crisper edge and a cleaner cylindrical shape than injected plastic, on which small details are usually rounded off by the mold and marked by the parting line. Ten pieces in the package cover work in several places on a vehicle and leave a margin as well, because parts of this size are easily lost during handling. Compare the placement on the hull and the turret with documentation for the particular machine you are building, because the individual subversions of the M48 and M60 series differ in small details.
Separate the parts from the casting block with a sharp scalpel or a thin file, and do it over a light surface with a raised edge, so that a piece that flies off does not disappear into the carpet. Use tweezers with smooth jaws, because serrated jaws will dent soft resin. Before gluing, wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and let them dry; that removes any residue of mold release agent. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, which is better applied to the model with a pin than to the plug itself. Then comes a thin coat of primer and the same shade as the surrounding surface, so that the accessory blends with the hull. It is meant to stand out by its shape and shadow, not by its color.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without the base kit. Glue, paints and tools are not included in the package.
