Aber 1:35 pan magazines for the Soviet 7.62 mm DT tank machine gun is a metal detail set from the Polish maker Aber for models of Soviet armored vehicles in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detail set in 1:35 scale, not a standalone model. It holds the characteristic pan, that is disk, magazines of the Soviet 7.62 mm DT tank machine gun. The accurate metal disks have the right profile and thickness and will replace the coarse plastic parts from the box or fill the stowage racks where the kit offers no magazines at all.
The DT machine gun was the standard tank variant of the Soviet 7.62 mm light machine gun. It fed from a conspicuous pan magazine, which was carried inside the tank in special racks on the walls of the fighting compartment. The weapon turns up on practically all Soviet armored vehicles of the Second World War, so the magazines are a rewarding detail both for interiors and for gear laid out on the hull.
Separate the small metal parts over a mat so that they do not fly off, and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Degrease the metal and go over it with a base coat; then paint the disks a dark metallic or olive shade according to your references. Create worn edges and fine highlights with a dry brush, and a small wash will pick out the pressed rings around the rim. In an interior, do not forget the racks the magazines are fixed to.
This is a detail accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
