Track spuds for the Mk II/IV/V/IX are a set of metal spuds in 1:35 scale from Friulmodel. This is not a model of a tank and not a whole track but additional spuds fitted onto the tracks of British First World War tanks.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of metal track spuds in white metal in 1:35 scale for models of the British First World War tanks Mark II, Mark IV (including the form with the lengthened tail, Tadpole Tail), Mark V and Mark IX. The spuds were fitted at regular intervals onto the track links and increased grip in muddy, waterlogged ground. This is not a complete track but an accessory fitted onto tracks, ideally onto the metal tracks from the same maker.
The British rhomboid tanks Mark II to Mark IX belonged to the first generation of fighting vehicles of the First World War. They moved over the barely passable ground of the trench battlefields, where a soft and waterlogged surface reduced traction. Track spuds were a practical field solution for improving the grip of the tracks.
Clean the spuds of casting marks with a file and attach them to the track links at regular intervals. A file, pliers and cyanoacrylate for the metal-to-metal joints are all you need for the work. Treat the metal surface with a primer suitable for metal before painting, then apply the paints with an airbrush and add a wash and pigments for the effect of dried mud.
This is not a model of a tank and not a whole track but a metal accessory fitted onto tracks. Glue, paints and the base model or the tracks are not included in the package.
