The Friulmodel 1:35 Tiger II late / E-50 / E-75 workable metal tracks — cast white metal that replaces the plastic tracks from the kit and gives the model faithful weight and sag.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of workable tracks from Friulmodel in 1:35 scale for the late version of the German Tiger II heavy tank and for the projected machines of the E series (the E-50 and E-75). The tracks are cast in white metal and are made up of individual links joined by a thin wire passing through the pin holes. The resulting track stays workable, follows the sag over the road wheels faithfully and, by its weight, gives the model a realism that the plastic or rubber tracks from the kit cannot offer. It is not a kit of the vehicle but a detail replacement for the tracks.
The Tiger II (Königstiger) was a German heavy tank of the end of the Second World War with thick armor and a long 88 mm gun. The E-50 and E-75 series were projected German standardized tanks (the so-called paper panzers), which never reached production but are a popular subject for models in the field of alternative history. The set covers the track shared by these designs.
Clean the links of any flash, assemble them on the wires and shorten the surplus wire with nippers. The joints can be secured with a drop of super glue. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a base color suitable for metal; metal tracks hold weathering, washes and pigments for mud and dust effects excellently.
The set serves as an accessory to a plastic model of the corresponding vehicle; the model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
