The injection-molded plastic kit ASU-57 in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss — the Soviet airborne self-propelled gun.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet ASU-57 airborne self-propelled gun in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. Photo-etched parts and marking options complete the model. Because the real vehicle was small, this is a compact but detailed kit. Check the exact package contents and the number of marking options against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The ASU-57 was a light self-propelled gun developed for the Soviet airborne troops. It was deliberately lightened so that it could be dropped by parachute along with the paratroopers and give them fire support immediately after the jump. The open-topped fighting compartment carried a 57 mm anti-tank gun. The vehicle served from the 1950s and became a typical feature of the Soviet airborne forces of that time.
Assemble the running gear and the open fighting compartment first, because on a vehicle with an open superstructure the interior stays in view, so paint and highlight it carefully. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and the photo-etch with cyanoacrylate. After the base coat and the clear coat, bring out the details with a wash and add dust weathering with pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
