An injection-molded plastic kit of the large S-300V anti-aircraft missile complex in the 9A84 launch vehicle version in 1:35 scale. The model captures the massive tracked chassis as well as the raisable launch section with its large missiles and is meant to be assembled and painted. It is a large, detailed kit that looks imposing in a display case.
The S-300V (NATO reporting name SA-12) is a Soviet, or rather Russian, mobile anti-aircraft and anti-missile system meant to destroy aircraft as well as ballistic missiles. Unlike the wheeled S-300 versions, the S-300V uses a heavy tracked chassis, which gives it high mobility across country. The 9A84 vehicle serves as the loading and launching element with its large guided missiles.
It is advisable to finish the running gear and the tracks first and only then to close up the hull. The plastic is glued with thin modeling cement, the joints are sanded and the surface is treated with a primer before painting. Apply the paint with an airbrush; for a faithful look, washes in the recesses and dust or mud pigments on the running gear work well. The large missiles deserve careful masking of the color fields.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
