Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched set of side armor skirts, the Schürzen, meant for a plastic model of the German Jagdpanzer IV/70 tank destroyer in 1:35 scale. The set replaces thicker plastic parts with thin and precisely shaped metal, which matches the real thickness of the armor skirts and their mountings better. It is not a stand-alone kit but an accessory for a base model.
The Jagdpanzer IV/70 was a German tank destroyer from the end of the Second World War built on the chassis of the Panzer IV. It carried a long gun barrel of 75 mm caliber (L/70), the same as the armament of the Panther, thanks to which it had high penetrating power. The Schürzen side skirts protected the running gear and the sides of the hull against rounds from anti-tank rifles and against shaped-charge ammunition.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend them in a bending tool or with the help of a metal ruler. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or with two-part epoxy. Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a base paint (primer), so that the paint holds well. The skirts stand out once mud and dust pigments have been applied.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
