Responsibility details are not available.
A stand-alone figure in 1:35 scale cast in resin, meant as an addition to a diorama or to a model of period equipment. It is not a vehicle kit. The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The maker is the Polish brand Toro Model, with a wide range of figures on the subject of the Polish army of 1939, so the officer can easily be joined by subordinate figures from the same range.
An officer is a useful figure in a scene, because he naturally creates action. A commanding gesture, a map or binoculars give a diorama a focus for the other figures to relate to. In 1939 the officer's uniform of the Polish infantry differed from that of the men in cut, rank insignia and accessories such as a map case or a pistol holster.
Wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water, cut the casting blocks off and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Lay the primer on in a thin coat. Paint the officer's uniform a little cleaner than that of the men and keep the weathering restrained. Give the leather accessories a brown shade with a light sheen, and paint in the small rank insignia with a fine brush at the very end. Finish the face with oil paints, which can be blended and shaded gently for a long time.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
