This aftermarket detail set is not a model of the vehicle but an accessory for one. It contains braided metal tow cables with resin eyes with which you replace the hard plastic parts of a kit of the Japanese Type 97 Shinhoto Chi-Ha medium tank and gain a realistic look.
The Type 97 Chi-Ha was a Japanese medium tank of the Second World War. The Shinhoto version (that is, with the new turret) carried a more powerful 47 mm gun and was the main upgrade of the type. Tow cables were carried on the hull of the tank and served for recovery.
Metal wire rope is easily bent into a natural shape following the outline of the hull. Glue the eyes with super glue and degrease the whole before painting. A primer, a dark wash into the recesses of the braid and fine dust weathering will add credibility.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The basic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
