A sheet of printed paper posters from the manufacturer Matho Models, a specialist in diorama accessories and materials. The first set of American posters of the First World War period is intended for pasting onto walls, fences and notice boards on dioramas in 1:35 scale and gives a scene an immediately legible period anchoring.
During the First World War posters were one of the main means of communication; in the United States they called for enlistment, for the purchase of war bonds and for economizing on raw materials. In period photographs of streets and barracks they are omnipresent, so on a diorama from 1917 and 1918 they look very credible. The set is a reproduction of period graphic art for purely modeling and documentary use.
Cut the individual posters out with a sharp knife along a metal ruler. Stick them onto a wall with diluted PVA glue or with glue for decals; dampen the paper lightly beforehand so that it adapts to the unevenness of the surface. You can suggest older posting by tearing the corners and going over them with diluted brown paint, and a poster faded by the sun with a fine light filter. Partial overlapping of several posters looks effective as well.
