A set of figures of British paratroopers of the Second World War in combat poses, 1:35 scale. The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The British airborne units of the Second World War were committed from gliders and by parachute, and their appearance differed from ordinary infantry at first glance. They wore the Denison camouflage smock and a rimless helmet over which a net was pulled. It is precisely these features that make paratroopers such a rewarding addition to any setting.
Figures in 1:35 scale, that is around five centimeters tall, rendered in action rather than standing on guard. They are supplied unassembled and unpainted, and the individual parts are cleaned up and glued together before assembly. The layout of the parts and the order of assembly are shown in the instructions provided by the maker.
Clean the excess material and the traces of manufacture off with a scalpel and fine sandpaper before gluing; on a glued figure they are hard to reach. Small parts, such as the hands and the weapons, hold reliably with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint from the base coat through the shades of cloth and skin to a dark filling coat into the folds, which gives the clothing depth.
The set belongs with dioramas of the fighting in Europe and with models of vehicles in 1:35 scale, which look empty without people. The package contains the figures only; vehicles, a base, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
