Fujimi — photo-etched parts for torpedoes and depth charges, 1:350 is an original detailing set that refines the torpedo armament and the depth charges on models of Japanese warships in 1:350 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An original detailing set from the Japanese manufacturer Fujimi in 1:350 scale. The photo-etched parts serve to refine the torpedo armament and the depth charges on warship models — exactly those small elements that injection-molded plastic can capture only in simplified form. The set is intended above all for Fujimi kits in 1:350 scale.
Torpedoes were among the main weapons of Japanese destroyers and cruisers — the famous Type 93 torpedo had a range and an effect that Allied counterparts long lacked. Depth charges, by contrast, served the fight against submarines and were stowed in throwers and racks at the stern. On a large model in 1:350 scale both weapons are clearly visible, so fine detailing shows up immediately in the overall impression.
Separate the small photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface, bend them with smooth-jawed tweezers and bond them with super glue applied with a needle. Degrease the parts before painting and prime them. The metal portions of the torpedoes come out well with gentle polishing or with a metallic paint.
This is an add-on set, not a complete ship model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue and paints are not included in the package.
