The metal barrels from MASTER replace the plastic parts and give the gun turret an accurate, clean outline. It is not a ship model but an accessory that raises the fidelity of a build.
The OTO-Melara 76 mm/62 is a very widespread Italian dual-purpose rapid-fire gun in a compact turret, carried by a whole range of modern frigates and corvettes all over the world, among them Oliver Hazard Perry class frigates. It is marked by a slender barrel with a characteristic tip.
Cut off the plastic barrel, clean up the seating hole and glue the turned part in with cyanoacrylate. Treat the metal with a primer before painting. A precisely turned muzzle markedly raises the realism of the model.
The set contains only the turned barrels. The ship model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
