This set from the manufacturer Eduard in the SPACE line holds British naval flags in 1:350 scale sized for smaller warships, cruisers and destroyers. It joins three-dimensional (3D) color decals with fine photo-etched metal parts, so the flags look raised and convincing. It is not a ship model but a detail accessory for sharpening a finished kit.
Royal Navy cruisers and destroyers flew the White Ensign and other flags in a relatively smaller form than the big battleships. That is exactly why this set has flags dimensioned for the lighter classes of ship.
Three-dimensional decals are not dipped in water: moisten only the backing paper underneath them, lift them with tweezers, glue them down with PVA glue and let them dry completely. Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp blade and fix them with a drop of super glue. A slight curve imitates a flag flying in the wind.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted beyond the printed decals. Glue and the base model are not included in the package.
