Aber 1:350 – 6 barrels of 40 mm Flak 28 with shields for the Kriegsmarine is a detail set of turned metal barrels of anti-aircraft guns with shields for models of ships in 1:350 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains 6 turned metal barrels of anti-aircraft guns of 40 mm caliber, the Flak 28, completed with shields and intended to replace the plastic parts on models of German ships in 1:350 scale. It is not a model of a ship but an accessory to a kit you already own. It is made by the Polish company Aber, a specialist in turned and photo-etched metal details.
The automatic gun of 40 mm caliber (the Flak 28 type, derived from the Bofors weapons) was used by the Kriegsmarine as anti-aircraft armament. The shields protected the crew and are a characteristic feature of these mounts.
Cut the turned barrels off the leftover stub, clean them up and fit them, together with the shields, in place of the plastic parts. Use cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) for gluing. Degrease the metal before painting and lay down a primer.
This is a supplementary turned set, not a model in itself. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
