A set of 9 turned brass gun barrels of 406 mm caliber (1:350) from the Polish maker Aber for models of American battleships with turrets without blast covers.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of nine turned brass gun barrels of 406 mm caliber in 1:350 scale from the Polish maker Aber. It is a metal aftermarket accessory, not a kit. This variant has shorter barrels intended for turrets modeled without the flexible muzzle covers against the blast wave, so they expose a greater part of the barrel. The set is intended for models of American battleships of the North Carolina class.
The American battleships of the North Carolina class carried nine guns of 406 mm caliber, in the 16 inch designation with a barrel length of 45 calibers, in three triple turrets. They were the first modern American fast battleships to enter service at the start of the Second World War.
Turned barrels capture the shape of the muzzle and the taper precisely. Cut off the plastic barrels, clean up the openings in the turrets, degrease the brass and set the barrels in place with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). It is advisable to lay a primer under the metal for better paint adhesion.
This is a metal detail accessory. The ship model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
