The AH-64 Apache is an American attack helicopter with a crew of two, who sit in two cockpits one behind the other. The A version is the original standard of this type. Two turboshaft engines power it, the landing gear is wheeled and the main rotor has four blades.
Under the front of the fuselage hangs a movable 30 mm gun that follows the movement of the gunner's head. On the pylons under the stub wings the machine carries anti-tank guided missiles or pods of unguided rockets, so it can act against armored vehicles and against area targets alike.
This is a collector model in 1:72 scale. It is supplied finished, that is assembled and painted, and it is intended for display rather than for building. At this scale the length of the fuselage works out at roughly 21 cm and the diameter of the main rotor at roughly 20 cm.
The model will be appreciated by collectors of military vehicles and by modelers who want machines in a single scale even where there is no time left to build them. Display it out of direct sun so that the colors do not fade, and wipe the dust off with a soft brush or an air blower bulb. The rotor blades and the pylons under the wings are the most sensitive places, so lift the model by the fuselage.
The package holds a finished model of the helicopter. A display case, a base and other accessories are not supplied, unless stated otherwise.
