About product

Photo-Etched Railings for German Second World War Ships (1:400, Aber)

This set is a photo-etched accessory with railings for German Second World War warships in 1:400 scale. It is not a ship model but a metal detail set. The execution matches the typical railing arrangement of German ships and is finer than any plastic part. The designation first choice refers to a particular variant of stanchion spacing and number of railing cables.

Use

  • Replaces the coarse plastic railings on the decks and superstructures of a model
  • The parts are cut from the photo-etched fret and bent to a right angle
  • They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), or soldered with tin
  • We recommend degreasing and spraying a primer before painting

Who it is for

  • Builders of German warships in 1:400 scale
  • Anyone after fine, scale-faithful railing detail
  • Modelers who want to rid the deck of coarse plastic parts

This is a photo-etched metal accessory, not a stand-alone model. The base ship kit is not included in the package.

FAQ

It refers to a particular railing variant, defined by the spacing of the stanchions and the number of horizontal cables.

It is not, it is a photo-etched metal accessory with railings. You need to have the ship model separately.

Cut them from the fret, bend them to a right angle and bond them with super glue, or solder them on.
