1:43 Skoda 1201 (1956) — VB patrol car is a finished collector's model in the finish of a patrol car of the Verejna bezpecnost, from the manufacturer Abrex. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A finished, painted collector's model of the Czechoslovak Skoda 1201 car in the form of a patrol vehicle of the Verejna bezpecnost, the police force of Czechoslovakia. It is not a kit: the model is neither glued nor painted and once unpacked it goes straight into a display case. Abrex is a Czech brand specializing in collector's models of Skoda cars, and besides ordinary color variants it also issues utility and service configurations, which are more sought after among collectors because fewer of them are made. The 1:43 scale matches the most widespread standard of collector's models of passenger cars.
The Skoda 1201 was a utility-oriented range built in Mlada Boleslav in the second half of the 1950s as the successor to the 1200 type. It was powered by a four-cylinder gasoline engine of roughly 1.2 liters. The car was built in several body configurations, from a sedan through a wagon and an ambulance to a flatbed, and it was precisely the wide palette of variants that made it an everyday vehicle of Czechoslovak enterprises and services. Among the operators was the Verejna bezpecnost, whose patrol cars carried a characteristic two-color finish and service markings.
This is a finished collector's model, not a kit. It is not intended as a toy for small children.
