Photo-etched landing flaps Eduard B-17G landing flaps 1:48 for the American Flying Fortress bomber. An accessory for a kit, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched detail set from the manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale for a faithful rendition of the landing flaps of the heavy bomber B-17G Flying Fortress. It is not a model and not a kit but an accessory replacing the plastic flaps with fine photo-etched parts carrying a faithful inner rib structure, which can be shown in the lowered position. The exact contents follow the instructions in the package.
The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress was an American four-engine heavy bomber of the Second World War, the backbone of daylight strategic bombing in Europe. The late B-17G version carried a chin turret under the nose and heavy defensive armament. The large landing flaps on the wings offer room for telling detail in the lowered position.
The original flaps are cut out of the plastic according to the instructions and replaced with the photo-etched parts. Those are cut from the fret, formed and glued with super glue. With the large wingspan we recommend careful fitting and bracing of the parts; flaps in the lowered position give the model a lively look.
This is a detail accessory, not a model of an airplane. The base kit and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
