A water-thinnable acrylic from the Air Series aviation range. The paint comes at a consistency ready to spray, so in hand painting it is treated as a thin coat you build up gradually, not as a one-off covering layer.
It is a medium saturated blue of the kind that appears in aircraft camouflage finishes. Blue shades are among those that come up worst over a dark surface, because their pigment has less covering strength than, say, greens and grays. That is essential information for hand painting.
If you are painting over a dark base or over shaded lines, do not try to hide them with one heavy coat. Apply thinly and let the contrast fade gradually until you reach the depth you want. When you need full coverage quickly, lay down a light gray or white base first and apply the blue over it. Check the area against the light, because that is where uneven coverage shows first.
