The Mark IV tow cable for the Archer self-propelled gun 1:35 is a metal detailing accessory with braided wire rope and resin eyes.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an aftermarket detail set, not a vehicle model. It contains a faithfully braided metal tow cable in the Mark IV configuration with resin eyes, with which you replace the plastic parts of a kit of the British Archer self-propelled gun and give the model a realistic look.
The Archer was a British self-propelled anti-tank gun of the Second World War. It came about by mounting the powerful 17-pounder gun on the chassis of the Valentine infantry tank, with the barrel pointing to the rear over the back of the vehicle. A tow cable was part of the equipment for recovery work.
Form the metal wire rope into a natural sag following the brackets and glue the eyes with cyanoacrylate. Before painting, degrease the whole assembly, apply a base coat and accentuate the texture of the braiding with a dark wash and light weathering.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
