About product

Metal eyelets and anchor points 1:48 (GasPatch models)

A set of sixty metal eyelets and anchor points in 1:48 scale from the Greek manufacturer GasPatch models. This is not a model but fine detail fittings that form the attachment points for rigging wires and turnbuckles on biplane models. The eyelets are made of metal, so they hold their shape and take the tension of the thread better than plastic or resin imitations.

What it is for

The anchor eyelets are glued into the airframe at the places where the bracing wires are anchored. Combined with turnbuckles they allow a realistic, functional-looking bracing system to be assembled. Sixty pieces in the package will cover even the more demanding machines with many struts.

Use and fitting

Drill a hole in the plastic or the resin first, glue the eyelet in with a drop of super glue and thread the rigging thread through it. Work with tweezers and a magnifier; degrease the parts before painting.

Who the set is for

  • Builders of First World War biplanes in 1:48
  • Modelers building realistic rigging
  • Advanced collectors with an emphasis on detail

The set holds metal eyelets only. The rigging thread, the turnbuckles, glue and the airplane model are not included in the package.
