A photo-etched detailing set in 1:35 scale from the Korean brand Tetra Model Works. The set is not a standalone model but an accessory meant to be fitted to a matching plastic kit of the Soviet T-72B tank in its 1990 version. The photo-etched parts replace the coarser plastic elements with finer metal.
The T-72B is the improved version of the proven Soviet T-72 main battle tank. The 1990 version carries Kontakt reactive armor on the turret and the hull, which markedly raises its resistance to shaped-charge warheads. The vehicle is armed with a 125 mm smoothbore gun with an autoloader and served in a number of armies around the world.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and make the bends along the etched score lines. Use super glue to bond the metal. Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a primer for metal. The characteristic blocks of reactive armor and the fine grilles show at their best once a wash and dust pigments have been applied.
This is an add-on photo-etched set. The base plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
