An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet Sukhoi Su-7BMK fighter-bomber in 1:48 scale from Smer. The model comes from a proven Czech mold and captures the BMK export version with a fixed swept wing (unlike the later versions with variable geometry). The Sukhoi Su-7 was a Soviet supersonic fighter-bomber and ground attack aircraft with a fixed swept wing and a single jet engine. The BMK version was the export form intended for foreign operators; machines of this series served in the Middle East and in other countries friendly to the Soviet Union, among other places. The Su-7 was rugged and fast, but it demanded a long runway.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, fill the seams and sand them down. Paint the cockpit and the landing gear bays before you close up the fuselage. Export camouflage and all-metal (bright metal) schemes are typical; with metal shades mind the smoothness of the base. After the gloss clear coat and the decals, bring out the panel lines with a wash and add wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
