A resin detail set from Aires in 1:48 scale for replacing the speed brake of the plastic kit of the F-100 Super Sabre fighter, in the form used on the early versions. The set contains a faithfully rendered speed brake and its well, which can be positioned extended. It is not an airplane model but an aftermarket accessory for more experienced modelers.
The F-100 Super Sabre was a single-engine supersonic fighter of the US Air Force. The ventral speed brake extended from the fuselage and served to control speed.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, separate the casting blocks and bond them with super glue. Paint the well and the inner face of the brake before fitting. The detail comes out after light shading.
This is a resin accessory. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
