Decals with Försökscentralen (FC) letters in 1:48 scale, in yellow and black serve to add lettering to models of Swedish machines. It is a decal sheet on its own, not a kit.

A decal sheet in 1:48 scale with letters referring to Försökscentralen, the Swedish establishment associated with the testing of aircraft. According to the name the letters come in two colors, yellow and black, which covers light as well as dark camouflage: on a dark airframe yellow is legible, on a light one black. It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory for finishing one.
Separate letters give more freedom than a ready-made inscription - you put together exactly the combination you need and adapt it to the spacing on your model. At the same time it means more work with alignment, because you place every character separately.
The key is the layout. Before you start, mark a thin line on the model with a water-soluble pen or lay a strip of masking tape as a guide and set the bottom edge of the letters along its edge. Cut every character out as closely as possible, soak it briefly in lukewarm water and let it rest on the paper. Put a drop of water on the spot, slide the character over and, while it is still floating, fine-tune the gap from the neighboring letter. Draw the excess off, use decal softener and let it dry thoroughly, and only then go on to the next character. Fix the finished inscription with gloss clear and finish the model with a flat coat.
The decals are supplied on their own. The model, clear coat and decal softener are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
