Fuselage guns for the Fw 190A-8 in 1:48 scale are a resin detail set from the manufacturer Eduard that replaces the simplified plastic weapons with a faithful resin copy complemented by etchings.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a stand-alone aircraft model. The set contains seventeen resin parts and photo-etched details and serves to replace the simpler fuselage guns from a plastic kit with a faithful weapons section. It is intended for models of the Fw 190A-8 in 1:48 scale.
The fuselage guns of the Fw 190A-8, a pair of synchronized 13 mm MG 131 weapons placed ahead of the cockpit above the engine, belong to the areas exposed to view. The resin castings capture the fine detail of the weapon bodies, the ammunition belts and the mountings, which plastic cannot reach. The set suits above all open panels and dioramas, where the weapons section is visible.
Wash the parts free of the remains of the mold release agent first, in lukewarm water with detergent. Carefully cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutter, and do the sanding with your airways protected. Glue both the resin and the etchings with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before filling and painting, lay down a primer suitable for resin and for metal alike.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. It is not a complete model; it contains only the parts of the weapons section and calls for a command of work with resin and cyanoacrylate glue.
