An injection-molded plastic kit of the classic Grunau Baby IIb training glider in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Kovozavody Prostejov. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Grunau Baby is among the most successful and most widespread training gliders in history. It came about in Germany in the early 1930s from a design by Edmund Schneider, and thanks to easy handling and good flying qualities it was built in enormous numbers all over the world. The IIb variant was one of the most widespread versions and brought up whole generations of glider pilots.
The slender fuselage and the thin wings of a glider reward careful fitting and sensitive sanding of the joints; join the parts with a thin cement for plastic. Mask the clear canopy and glue it with care. After primer, spray the covering shades with an airbrush; the fabric covering is brought to life by a fine accenting of the ribs and a discreet wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
